Follow the latest developments of the ViSAR project, including Mutual Exchange Learning Events (MELEs), steering committee meetings, training activities, dissemination actions and the final international symposium.

Through national and transnational events, ViSAR promotes multidisciplinary exchange, professional training and cooperation among justice professionals, victim support actors, researchers and institutional stakeholders across Europe.

Section 1 — Mutual Exchange Learning Events (MELEs)

Mutual Exchange Learning Events

The ViSAR MELEs are multidisciplinary training and exchange activities developed within WP4 to strengthen cooperation, mutual learning and practical implementation of victims’ rights standards across partner countries.

The events combine:

  • legal analysis,
  • practical case discussions,
  • interdisciplinary dialogue,
  • restorative justice perspectives,
  • AI-supported learning tools,
  • operational exchange among professionals.
MELE Italy – Padua

Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence in the European Area

Rights, cross-border protection and EU tools

The first Italian Mutual Learning Event focused on the European framework concerning victims’ rights, cross-border protection mechanisms, victimisation processes and innovative AI-supported tools for justice professionals. The programme also included interactive simulations with the ViSAR Avatar and discussions on practical implementation challenges.

The second Italian Mutual Exchange Learning Event focused on restorative justice approaches in cases of relational and domestic violence, combining legal analysis, interdisciplinary perspectives, applied experiences and testimonies from restorative justice programmes.

Section 2 — Project Meetings & Consortium Activities

Steering Committee Meetings

ViSAR partners regularly meet to coordinate project implementation, discuss progress across work packages and strengthen transnational cooperation among consortium members.

  1. 3rd Steering Committee Meeting – Kraków

    • Date: 10 February 2026
    • Location: Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University
    • Hybrid meeting

    The Steering Committee Meeting in Kraków focused on the implementation progress of the project work packages, including:

    • WP2 data collection and analysis;
    • WP3 development of training materials and the AI-supported platform;
    • WP4 Mutual Exchange Learning Events;
    • WP5 dissemination, publications and communication activities.

    Particular attention was dedicated to the presentation of:

    • the ViSAR Avatar,
    • AI-supported learning methodologies,
    • mutual learning materials,
    • and proposals for joint events based on the AI component.
